In order to create an environment where more effective work can be done then the promotion of DEI needs to be a must. As of 2020 the amount of white males in the workforces has gone down from 78% in 2019 to 61.8% according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Fair hiring opportunities.
Everyone deserves a chance and giving a fair chance to every type of applicant can open doors for yourself and your company. Not just has a more diverse workforce been proven to produce better results but it’s simply the right thing to do!
Involve everyone.
No one wants to be left out, doesn’t matter who you are. Be sure to include your entire team, especially in the DEI work taking place. Make sure everyone is informed of everything upfront and ensure voices can be heard. Your workforce will feel like they matter!
Make sure to have open discussions.
Allow for conversation and constructive meetings to take place, especially to discuss the importance of DEI. Allow your workforce to have a say and opinions on their take on what diversity, equity and inclusion means to each of them.
Don’t forget to have KPI or Key performance indicators.
Close to the way public relations professionals use KPI in campaigns, you can use them in the workplace to measure how well your requirements for DEI are being met.
